Anywhere I can get permission. I will be in the Davy Crockett National Forest this weekend and next. We do some hunting on the ranch near College Station. One 4 day hunt in West Texas in December near Eldorado. Then the bow lease in Leander.

I do most of my big buck hunting just south of Stephenville in Erath county.  I do most of my meat hunting out side of Castell in Mason county, they have alot of stags.  But I never turn down a new place to hunt.  Have deer will go.

I will be hunting on my land here in Brown County, or hopefully I'll be hunting on the SanSaba River just outside of Brady in McCulloch County.  My father has a friend there who lets him hunt on his land. Last year he let Dad bring me along about a week after I got back in-country. Hopefully the invitation for me still stands.  But I will hunt my place first for a while. I've got a couple of nice bucks frequenting my feeder, but they can't compare to the ones that Dad's been seeing on his buddies place.

BCKHTR8 this is my second year on this lease. There is a lot of deer nice deer on this lease. Last year my son took a nine point, All I got was does. Here is a pic. Hopefully I will be posting my buck soon!

I will be hunting for a trophy mule this year in west texas.

In east texas (DCNF border ranch) I hunt coyotes and pigs. I would shoot a trophy whitetail but have never seen one.

I am looking forward to hunting turkey, coyote, does and hopefully a nice buck in Travis County (Hill Country) at an undisclosed (but legal) location.

I do more hog, coyote and doe shooting for ranches (for free) in return for being able to take photos, videos, do product reviews, and if the landowner is really in a good mood, bring youth, disabled, veteran (and hopefully soon Members from our Top 25 Point Earners) out with me.

This year I plan on using my regular .223, .308, and .44, but adding a crossbow. I have retired my great-grandfather's 30-30 due to the gunsmith's safety concern since I am not willing to change out any of the original parts.

Jason, what ranch or property are you hunting Mule deer in west Tx.??? If I may ask. My lease is with Live Oak Creek also(P. Meadows) I am back to hunting mule deer between Dryden and Langtry. Also headed out to my old lease in Pecos county. Hunting hogs outside of Bronte, after the deer season. Too many hunts, not enough time.

I scouted Balcones Canyonlands NWR (NW Travis County) on opening day for a draw hunt scheduled December 2 & 3. Don't overlook this Central Texas public hunt next year -- beautiful land and often numerous deer. Later, I will hunt extreme N. Uvalde County and NW Coryell County (both private) and may try SHNF in between. Good hunting. SteveM

Old Mexico!  17000 Remote acres in the state of Coahuilla.  We were lucky to find this unhunted Ranch far from anything!  No high fences, No high dollar transplanted genetics!  Just RAW RUGGED UNTAMED BIG BUCK COUNTRY!  Last year our focus was on nothing but culling out inferior deer and managment bucks.  The 150 class 13 point in the pics was the only high end buck we took.  This year looks very good!!  Enjoy the pics!  I have lots of video and pics that I will be posting so stay tuned and enjoy!!

This is my best friend and I.  We have and manage this Ranch Together.  He took this great 5 1/2 yo management deer last year.  Mexico is one of the great unknown secrets for hunting big whitetail bucks. 

To answer 7magMM, I forget the name of the ranch I am going to. It is a large, low fence ranch near Big Bend. The trip is coming up!

To comment on Dstrong, I can't wait to see more video and photos of his hunts in Old Mexico.  I would love to join to write a field report sometime, no need to hunt unless culling or varmint eradication help is needed - which still makes for great videos.

Rusk county near Mt. Enterprise. I've only seen one deer this year. I do need to get used to this heavy cover hunting again. It's been a long time since I've huted this way.

He does a lot of fishing there. I go with him a few times a year and would like to have a little inside info to beat his socks off.

A new location..... my backyard in College Station! The story is.... a neighbor inherited his dad's place and released all the axis deer, we'll see how it goes! I have never shot an axis before, but it's a great time to practice!

i have a 6000 acre lease for whitetail and muleys in crane and upton county. i hunt our family ranch of 900 acres in mason county. i duck hunt 30000 acres in crane county called the letter b ranch with a buddy of mine.  i hunt in andrews martin and gaines county occasionally, and when i get invited i hunt in mitchell county, midland county, and stonewall county.

Besides dove and quail, what's in Midland county...have the whitetails made it up that far?

Crockett county north/west of Ozona. Started hunting last lear on this place for the first time. Saw some very nice deer. Guys we hunt with are great and the land owner is a great guy. All that he askes of us is to take care of his place and he is happy with our self imposed management program.

I have 2 lease's, 1 in Trinity County that i hunt with my Dad. 1 in Mills County, that i hunt and co-manage, Also the SHNF w/my Bow. 

I will be on my ranch near Granbury my family has owned since 1873. Its real challenging due to the 550 acres is somewhat narrow with crazy terrian and the only real way to hunt is traditional still hunting from blinds. I figure as long as the neighbors dont try to harasse this year it will be fine. Last season I had problems with the crazy drunken hippie and his physco 85 year old mom trying to mess me up, and a new neighbor who freaks out when he hears gun shots who also turned out to be a convicted child molester and a 4wheeler freak i cant stand off roaders they ruin the outdoors for us real sportsman, sure I own a polaris ranger and a 4 wheeler but they are tools not toys for joy riding like a moron. I hope to get the big 10 I have been after for years now hes finally mature and would make a nice decoration in my living room. I hope to also be hunting on my friends place in Erath county a few times hes a good guy and knows how to hunt and manage deer herds I took a beautiful 9pt off his place last season (2009/2010) and hes one of the most decorated police officers in the state so no one bothers him or his place not to mention some huge bucks are roaming around there. I am also hoping to go to Rocksprings on my company trip they send some of us every year usually I get to go every other year I went last year so Im not sure about this year, but the place is awesome low fence with tons of wildlife exotics, whitetail everywhere, hogs you name it its probably there.
