BIRD

I'm going to go Quail hunting with my son as a birthday present and was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to give up any secret spots or general areas. Lastly I was wondering what the overall best wildlife area is in your opinion.

when are you going, the area is closed for the next several weeks for deer hunting

Late febuary and maybe december to find some other good spots.

there are no deer hunt closure dates for february, but the entire WMA is closed the first 3 weeks of december and the 2nd and 3rd week of janurary for deer hunts, just to let you know.

I just want to let you know that Granger WMA is open this weekend for bird hunting. I just got off the phone with main contact for the WMA. However, quail would be hard to come by in Granger, per the the Granger WMA main contact. His phone number is 859-2838 and can give you correct info on closure dates. Hope this helps.
