What are some good areas in/or around Austin for some upland bird hunting? Has anyone dove hunted at granger?

doves can be found at granger, but the are few and far between. The local fields around the WMA have already been cut early this year. If  you can find the birds you will have to work for them. I scratched up a limit opening day, but had to hunt for 6hrs for it. And it was all busting brush, no fence sitting.
