Looking for any dove hunter's interested in joining me and my son on a special whitewing dove hunt in the Rio Grande Valley on Labor Day Weekend.  I have experience hunting several of the Las Palomas Units down there and the whitewing hunting is excellent.  Some of the huners that were considering going down south will not be able to make the trip this year and  we would like to invite another father / son group or hunters willing to share travel cost, gas, hotel to reduce some of the cost of the trip.  We are heading down there from San Antonio and plan to hunt Sat and Sun afternoon, after talking to some of the wildlife biologist down in the Rio Grande Valley they are predicting an absolute super opening weekend with good flocks of whitewings roosting and flying over public hunting WMA's in the Valley.  Send me an e-mail with a number to be reached at so join in on the dove hunting action!!!

Gus,

How did it go down there.  I was in south padre for the weekend and it rained a lot. Had planned to hunt one of the Las Palomas areas on Monday morning...until i realized it was only evening hunting in whitewing area
