Hey fellas, i just signed up here and the main reason was to be able to talk to other people with a little bit more knowledge than myself as far as hunting public land. My dad and i have an 8 month old Brittany named Lucky and his friend has a 10 month old Weimaraner, we've taken them out a few times and they've done excelent, the problem is that they were released quail and now we want to go explore the wild. We are thinking about going out to Chaparral this weekend and wanted to know if anybody had any tips, suggestions or just anything that might help us out. We live in Sugarland which is 10 minutes from Houston, so if anyone knows of any good quail hunting that might be a little bit closer to us would help alot, Chaparral is not the closest to us but we think it might be worth it.
