Overview:

Hunt includes one morning and one evening hunt for two days. Hunt may start any day of the week with a 30-day reservation. Truck and dogs are furnished each day.  Accommodations and meals are 5 star. Prior to the hunt you will be mailed a questionnaire to special needs that you may have, a menu of 30 meal items to choose from to cover your breakfast, lunch and dinner right down to how you like your steak cooked.

All birds will be cleaned and packaged for return trip. Bag limits are set according State Game Laws. Hunters will generally flush between 18 and 24 coveys of wild birds per day ,during very dry years this may not be the case, but excellent flying pen raised birds may be substituted if requested at an extra cost, call for quote. The dogs and handlers are excellent. The lodge is complete with a huge flat screen TV . Each room has individual satellite reception, plus each room has a separate climate control unit. All TVs are complete with DVD and VHS players. Departure: Hunters may stay over if they wish, dinner and breakfast is included. No alcohol is furnished, (Hunters are welcomed to bring their own favorite brand.) No firearms will be furnished. Ammunition is furnished (12 & 20 ga.). We can accommodate up to 8 hunters. Overview:

Our Double J Ranch is in the famous Golden Triangle area of South Texas where many of the famous high scoring net book heads have come from in years past, the red sand country as some call it. We have a beautiful New Mexico Adobe style lodge there built under a 60’ by 124’ hanger type structure. The rooms have everything from huge 4’x4’ ceramic tile showers to private satellite television reception, fax machine, e-mail and private phone. This ranch produced a gross 170 plus and a 167 last season both were typical frame. We also took a 166 class management deer that was a main frame 8 pointer. There is a different atmosphere in this part of Texas . Sightings of Wild Hogs, Coyote, Bob Cats, and Bobwhite Quail and of course Big Deer make your hunt here a unique South Texas experience. This ranch is also high fenced and under an extinctive yearly management program.

We hunt from deer blinds and each hunter is guided. Our guides take very good care of you during you stay. We take care of everything from field dressing your deer to skinning, quartering and packing your meat in ice chests.

Our hunt cost is based on B and C gross scores and are priced accordingly. Prices are all inclusive with exception of hunting license and personal effects. Tips based on performance are appreciated by our guides.
