Convention countdown continuesWritten on: 06/07/2009 by: TWA
Texas -
With convention just a few weeks away, your TWA staff is behind the scenes gearing up for another fantastic WildLife event, June 26-27. This year's convention promises to once again feature one-of-a-kind auction items ranging from feeders, blinds, trips', hunts, firearms, clothing, jewelry, and optics. Included in the schedule is Richard Louv, accomplished author of "Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder," who will reflect on his international movement concerning the future relationship between children, nature and the importance of the outdoors at the TWAF Luncheon, June 26. An invitation and reply card are available. A panel of wildlife experts including Dr. Fidel Hernandez, Assistant Professor at Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, will give attendees an update on new quail research and how the findings will affect management in Texas. For a complete list of speakers, click here. To register for convention, click here. TWA is thankful for the generous auction donations from the community and our members. All of TWA's auction item donations will have a highly-visible presence at convention, which attracts more than 1,500 wildlife enthusiasts from across the state. Item(s) donated will also be featured in our auction catalog, receive online recognition on the TWA website, and will be showcased with highly-visible signage throughout convention.
