Working to make hunting more affordable for Texas sportsmen, the Texas Deer Association (TDA) has taken its message on a ‘whistle stop’ tour across the state to promote more affordable hunting. TDA is visiting several Bass Pro Shop locations in Texas to showcase its all-new Hunt for Less program which can save hunters hundreds of dollars on a wide variety of hunting opportunities.
The TDA ‘Hunt for Less’ program provides significant cost savings on hunting packages for whitetail, elk, turkey, dove, quail, hogs, and exotic species at nearly two dozen premium ranches across the State of Texas.
Currently, the TDA Hunt for Less Program features more than two dozen ranches in Texas, including Ace High Ranch, Covert Ranch, Diamond S Ranch, DropTine Ranch, Hicks Whitetail Deer, High Roller Whitetails, Hogsback Ranch, Kinsel Cattle Company, Rancho Bellas Rocas, Rio Rojo Rancho, Tesoro Ranch, Texas Outfitters Ltd, Twisted Oaks Ranch, Uno Mas Ranch, Wildpoint Whitetails and Wilson Whitetail Ranch just to name a few.

“As the nation’s largest non-profit state association to serve the deer industry, we are deeply committed to preserving our hunting traditions and increasing opportunities for Texas hunters,” says Karl Kinsel, executive director of the Texas Deer Association. “We know hunting affordability is a growing problem for many sportsmen, so we’re working to help provide opportunities in which hunters can experience some of the best ranches in Texas for a lot less money.”
Since it was established in 1999, the Texas Deer Association has successfully worked to increase quality hunting experiences for all Texas hunters and to advocate wise management practices, promote research and technology regarding improvements to deer herds through the practice of controlled breeding and genetic improvements. As ‘Proud Stewards of Texas Deer,’ the TDA is the only non-profit organization solely committed to improving the quality of Texas deer herds and growing the deer industry.
In addition to legislative efforts to help the industry, the TDA provides a year-round public education campaign for its members and other deer enthusiasts, which includes a full-color bimonthly publication, Tracks Magazine, that provides updates on current industry news, deer genetics, land management, ranching and game management issues.
