TDA Across Texas Tour Stops at Houston Bass Pro Shop

San Antonio -

The Texas Deer Association (TDA) is pleased to announce the next stop on its statewide tour to promote more affordable hunting will be in Katy, Texas, just outside of Houston. TDA will showcase its all-new Hunt for Less program at the Bass Pro Shop in Katy, Texas, on Saturday, October 24, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 pm.

The TDA ‘Hunt for Less’ program provides significant cost savings on hunting packages for whitetail, elk, turkey, dove, quail, hogs, and exotic species at many premium ranches across the State of Texas.

Currently, the TDA Hunt for Less Program features such highly acclaimed hunting ranches as Ace High Ranch, Covert Ranch, Diamond S Ranch, DropTine Ranch, Hicks Whitetail Deer, High Roller Whitetails, Hogsback Ranch, JAG Ranch, Kinsel Cattle Company, Rancho Bellas Rocas, Rio Rojo Rancho, Tesoro Ranch, Texas Outfitters Ltd, Twisted Oaks Ranch, Uno Mas Ranch, Wildpoint Whitetails and Wilson Whitetail Ranch just to name a few.

Since it was established in 1999, the Texas Deer Association has successfully worked to increase quality hunting experiences for all Texas hunters and to advocate wise management practices, promote research and technology regarding improvements to deer herds through the practice of controlled breeding and genetic improvements. As ‘Proud Stewards of Texas Deer,’ the TDA is the only non-profit organization solely committed to improving the quality of Texas deer herds and growing the deer industry.

In addition to legislative efforts to help the industry, the TDA provides a year-round public education campaign for its members and other deer enthusiasts, which includes a full-color bimonthly publication, Tracks Magazine, that provides updates on current industry news, deer genetics, land management, ranching and game management issues.
